- Dennis worked to get funding for Grubb Road sidewalks for safety walking to school.
- Worked with parents to get state funding for Hanby Elementary School playground equipment.
- Secured funding for the Naamans Road sound barrier fence.
- Worked with Pennsylvania legislators to rebuild Beaver Dam Road after years of neglect led to unsafe driving conditions.
- Initiated and managed a Flood Plain Study, saving many residents thousands of dollars per year on flood insurance

- Took action to deal with dangerous dogs that posed a serious safety risk in our community. He worked with constituents, police, state agencies, and animal shelters and drafted a Dangerous Dog law which protected both people and animals. He got the bill passed and signed into law.
- Sponsored a bill to require and fund updated emergency plans in all our schools, protecting students, teachers, staff, and visitors.
- Drafted a bill to protect children from the dangerous effects of commercial tanning beds, banning minors from using them and saving lives. This bill was inspired by the death of a young woman who had extensively used tanning salons which directly led to her developing skin cancer and a tragic early death.
